What knowledge might save your life one day?

When walking along a railway line, always walk in the middle if you have to walk along the track closeby (in fact, stay atleast 3 to 4 metres away from the rail track if possible).

Especially at points/switches like below, never walk on the rail.

They change as per the path set and nowadays they are operated remotely with a motor. The person operating the rail point/switch will not be able to check visually before operating.

If someone's foot is in the gap shown by the red pointer on right side at the time of operation, the muscle and bone will be crushed. There will be nothing left to do except, maybe amputate up to the crushed part.

It is always safe to stay away from the blade part.
