" FASHION LOST ONE OF ITS GATEKEEPERS "

Fashion loses one of its gatekeepers born Karl Otto Lagerfeld one of the most fierce but also feared creative minds in the fashion game. Children and grown-ups if you don't know or haven't heard of Karl Lagerfeld then please TAKE A SEAT. The man presented and walked perfection elegance and most of all everything about the man was high end. If you think of Karl you think of what he did with Chanel the trajectory that he brought forth into that fashion house but most of all his touch. Dominance would be the choice of word to describe his fashion resume taking it back to the late '50s where he'd do three years at Balmain to this magnificent collaborations with Richards. In 1965 he collaborates with Fendi on a few collections. He'd go on to continue to stay on his own lane and as I mentioned earlier to dominate the fashion world, some even say he was the most '' prolific'' designer of the 20th and 21st centuries. Karl had a playful side to him tho of German descent, Karl would adopt the French Parisian flamboyant way of living. He even caused the " Anna Wintour" to walk out of a Milan fashion week because Karl had hired strippers to be apart of his show. Karl Lagerfeld defined what it means to be " proper" but to do it in fashion as well the idea of a uniform, if you notice Karl was always wearing uniform often seen in his Black shades, black overcoat, white button up as well as a black tie. Iconic very much so in lameness termes the standard and the bar was set. Fashion lost its gatekeepers the real reason why fashion enthusiasts like Virgil Abloh, Matthew Williams still study fashion gurus like Karl Otto Lagerfeld. The notion of " high end" and fashion schools like St.Martins, Parsons and Antwerp royal academy still reference the late Karl Lagerfeld's teachings. Karl Lagerfeld passed away February 19 in Paris he went out a legend but most of all an example of how really live it. Fashion excellence long live Karl Lagerfeld!karl.jpg
