"I am the door", said Jesus in John 10:9. Meaning, exegesis, importance, symbolism, reflection and commentary.

Jesus in the gospel of John, compares himself to the door through which the sheep enter:
"Therefore Jesus said again, "Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:7-10.

Is the function of the person who has wisdom and understanding to give guidance, knowledge and correction of the error. The task of the wise with the simple people, can be compared with the relationship between the shepherd and the sheep.
Jesus affirms he is the wisdom of God, he is the gate (John 10:9). Jesus is "son of man", Jesus is the personification of the kingdom of God, the dominion of the divine perfections. It should be noted that from this point of view, the word of God is not the Bible, the word of God is Jesus, the Word of God is eternal and uncreated.
There is a very clear statement in the gospel of John about this:
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.", John 1:1-5.
The Word of God is identified with the wisdom in the gospels. And how do we access this wisdom? Through the "son of man".
Jesus is the shepherd who guides the simple and common people to eternal life, he is the perfect teacher: "The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher" Luke 6:40.
The eternal life is the true spiritual goal of man. The eternal life is almost a fruit of the spirit, or it is presented to us as a fruit of the spirit.
The eternal life is contemplative activity and everything that accompanies it: the longevity (spiritual gift of immortality), happiness of the heart (spiritual gift of happiness) and the guidance of God (opening of the third eye).
