Jay Z's 4:44 goes Platinum without really going Platinum

Have you thought about how Jay Z's new album 4:44 has gone platinum even though you can only find it on Tidal? How did he go platinum is less than a week? SIMPLE: Sprint made many purchases of the album which inflates the sales. These aren't real sales...... and I believe Jay Z knows this, but let's be honest....He's not the coolest rapper on the block anymore especially with the kids.

Jay Z did the same thing with Magna Carta by having Samsung pay for many copies. It was not known of back then but again? Really Jay Z? You would talk bad about this back in the day if any other rapper were doing it.

My opinion is that this is getting ugly. When is the RIAA going to intervene and draw a line? This is only going to open the doors for other artists to inflate sales and streams and gain recognition in, my humble opinion, the wrong way....

We need music sales and streams to represent the truth. What Jay Z has done is far from the truth.

How do other music lovers feel about this? Did y'all even really like the album? Because I didn't. It's got some good beats and instrumentals but Jay Z's flow is going backwards in my opinion.
