I was away quite for a while...
お久しぶりになってしまいました。
When I saw Payton for the first time in America, I thought "HOW CUTE SHE IS!!"
アメリカでペイトンに初めて会ったときは、なんてかわいいんだ！と思いました。
It was my first time actually touching a ferret. I didn't know a ferret is smelly...
実際にフェレットを触ったのは初めてでした。フェレットって「香り」が強いなんて知りませんでした。笑
She was an old female ferret and she was so calm.
ペイトンはおばあちゃんフェレットで落ち着いていました。
She was so warm and so soft.
とっても温かくてとってもソフトでした。
Since she was old, she was sleeping all the time except when she eats.
おばあちゃんだったので食べるとき以外は寝ていました。
I loved when she laid on my chest and slept.
ペイトンが私の上で寝転んで寝ているときが大好きでした。
I LOVED Payton very very much.
ペイトンが大大大好きでした。
Sadly she passed away last week.
悲しいことにペイトンは先週天国へ旅立ちました・・・。
I believed I could meet her again so I was really sad.
また会えると信じていたのでとっても悲しかったです。
I was not the only one who was so sad.
私だけが悲しいわけではありませんでした。
Sally, another ferret which was always with Payton stopped playing around since Payton passed away.
ペイトンといつも一緒にいたサリーはペイトンが旅立ってから遊ぶのをやめてしまいました。
He was clearly missing Payton.
サリーはペイトンをなくして寂しかったようです。
They were great friends!
二人はとっても仲がよかったんです。
Payton on the left side, Sally on the right side. (They are both from a ferret shelter.)
ペイトンは左、サリーは右。（二人ともフェレットシェルターから来ました。）
I heard all the stories and decided to give Sally a new friend.
寂しがっている話などを聞いて、私はサリーに新たなお友だちを作ってあげることにしました。（もちろん飼い主の許可を得て）
I called the nearest pet store and checked that there is a female ferret.
近くのペットショップに電話をしてメスのフェレットがいることを確認しました。
Fortunately, they said there was one, so I sent money and asked people to buy the ferret.
幸い一匹いるとのことだったので、お金を送ってそのフェレットをお家に迎えてもらうことにしました。
Thanks to the technology! I can call a pet shop in America from Japan and send money straight away!
テクノロジーはすごい！アメリカのペットショップに電話ができて、すぐお金も送れる。
This is the baby girl.
この子が新しい子です。
Sally is also an old ferret, I hope they can get along well.
サリーはおじいちゃんですが、この子と仲良くしてほしいです。
Sally is a playful ferret so I am sure they will be best friends!
サリーは遊ぶのが大好きな子なのできっと新しい子とも仲良くできると思います。
I need to name the baby girl.
新しい子に名前をつけてあげないといけません。
I hope to see them this year when I go back to America.
今年またアメリカに行って会いたいなと思います。
