Japan Virtual Currency Exchange Association, a virtual currency exchange industry association, announced that Yuzo Kano and Bit Bank president Noriyuki Hirozu resigned as vice presidents, a bit flyer.

仮想通貨交換業者の業界団体である日本仮想通貨交換業協会が、ビットフライヤーの加納裕三社長とビットバンクの広末紀之社長が副会長を辞任したと発表した。

辞任の理由は、顧客資産の分別管理やマネーロンダリング対策などで内部管理体制が不十分として先週、両社が金融庁から業務改善命令を受けたためとしている。
関係者によると、副会長のポストは当面空席とするという。

日本仮想通貨交換業協会は4月に改正資金決済法に基づく登録業者16社で発足、政府が認定する自主規制団体となることを目指していた。

出足からつまずく異例の事態となった同協会。
今後の動向に注視していきたい。
