L'altro giorno mentre stavo giocando con mia figlia Beatrice, stavamo masticando una gomma da masticare.
Di tanto in tanto facevo una bolla e Bea sgranava gli occhi dicendomi:"Babbo ma come fai? mi insegni?"
Ho iniziato a spiegarle poco a poco come fare, ma nonostante gli svariati sforzi non ci riusciva: gonfiava le guance come stesse soffiando in un palloncino, e io morivo dal ridere perché la sua faccia diventava tutta rossa, sembrava un pesce palla quando si gonfia per lo spavento.
Tutta imbronciata mi si sedeva sulle ginocchia e sconfortata mi diceva:" Non ce la farò mai!!!"
Per rincuorarla mi sono inventato che probabilmente la sua gomma da masticare era difettosa ma appena ne avremmo acquistate altre ci sarebbe sicuramente riuscita.
La sera dopo che Bea si è addormentata questo episodio è stato lo spunto per fare un nuovo disegno.
Quella faccina con le guance gonfie e rosse mi si ripresentava continuamente e allora ho disegnato quel pesce palla all'interno di una bolla fatta con la gomma da masticare.
Credo che il disegno sintetizzi bene l'episodio di ieri.

The evening after Bea fell asleep this episode was the starting point for a new design.
That face with swollen and red cheeks was continually coming back to me and then I drew that puffer inside a bubble made with chewing gum.
