Mount Krakatoa


The eruption of Krakatoa eruption was the most intense ever recorded in modern times. The mountain is located in the Sunda Strait it erupted on August 26, 1883.

The tremendous global impact and killing an estimated 36,000 people. The flash point is very powerful to result in a tsunami as high as 46 metres of material and rocks were thrown up to the small islands in the sea of Africa.

The post-war boom, the temperature in the northern hemisphere declined by 1.2 degrees which lasted one year. Krakatau ever sunk into the sea, and in 1927 appeared again became known with the child of Krakatoa
