The UT Rave Fam: Showcasing the Utah Rave Scene, Gathering the Rave Family, and Giving Back to the Community by Helping Utahns Start #RavingThroughSteem!

Welcome to the Utah Rave Family! Our goal is to become a central hub for ravers in Utah to share their magickal moments with each other, and with the rest of the world on the Steem blockchain. We will have an online presence on other social media platforms as well, but our main focus will definitely be the blockchain. Anything that we post on other social media platforms will have first originated from here.

We acknowledge the fact that there are already other online communities for Utah ravers to congregate and share a real sense of community, and it is not our wish to compete with them or take away from their experience and their efforts to build community. Our mission differs from the other communities on other social media platforms in one very big way: the involvement/incorporation of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology.

Realizing the true power of Steemit to change lives, and the true utility of Steem in "real world" applications, we thought it was only natural to combine that with the true power that the EDM experience has to change lives. @rodeo670 recently launched the #RavingThroughSteem initiative as an attempt to get more ravers onto the blockchain and build up the EDM community on this platform, and that is a cause that we not only fully support, but we plan on participating fully in that initiative as well.

1. We will be taking photo and video submissions from ravers in Utah, which we will be posting on the blockchain through apps like @steepshot and @dtube, and if we can get mobile streaming to work someday, we also plan to incorporate live streaming in the future through @dlive.
2. We plan to also interview Utah ravers about their experiences, and formulate those interviews into Steemit posts to really showcase the human face of raving here in Utah, a highly (some would say overly) religious state full of people who don't understand what the rave scene truly means to us and how much it truly transforms people and changes lives. We want to combat this ignorant stereotype/stigma that ravers are nothing more than kids who pop a bunch of pills and get wasted and just try to forget about the world for a while.
3. We will use part of the money generated from those posts to buy tickets to local shows and festivals, which we will then be using to host giveaways in the Utah raving community.
4. We will use the other part of the money generated from those posts to power up this account, so that our upvotes grow in value and we can upvote other EDM-related content on the blockchain, both from locals here in Utah as well as other Steemit users in general.
5. We hope that doing these giveaways will encourage local ravers to join the blockchain and grow the EDM presence on Steemit, and once they get active on the platform and start making money from their posts, they will be able to fund their raving activities themselves through Steem, hence the hashtag #RavingThroughSteem.

Eventually, when we grow big enough, we plan to have a physical presence at raves/EDM festivals as a group, with totems, shirts, or other means of identifying who we are at these events. This will be our serious attempt to really spread the word about Steemit and grow the user base, while at the same time building community among ravers here in Utah.

We will help plan and host events within the local community, hopefully in conjunction with other communities of ravers here in Utah, like the SL,UTs (who are currently at the forefront of planning community events within the rave scene in Salt Lake City).

If this venture is to be a successful one, we humbly request that you consider donating funds to our account or delegating some Steem Power to us to help us get started on our mission to spread the central tenets of raving: Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect, on the blockchain and in the local community.

We currently have nothing to offer in return to “pay you back” for your generous donations/delegations, should you choose to go that route, but we are hopeful that someday we will be established enough on the blockchain that we will be able to give something of value back to the community that helped us grow and find a place of success on here.
