Hello steemers, My name is sreevin (@sreevin) and I was born and brought up in Kerala, India. Talking about kerala, it is indeed a heaven, being brought up here i beleive is the most wonderful thing in my life gifted by god. Kerala is known as 'Gods own country' and i believe it indeed is.
It has hardly been two weeks since i first heard about the term steemit itself. Special thanks to @nirmal and @firepower for giving precise info and guiding me here. We are connected through a facebook community which deals with cryptocurrencies. Happy to be part of it.
Career
About my career, I m a final year Btech student in Mechanical engineering, being more specific just one year left for becoming an engineer(ideally maybe).I think i m a bit lazy in studies, that’s what my parents says(fact indeed).Non of the subjects had grabbed my attention greatly. Engineering was indeed my dream like many other students who got quite good marks in their plus two. Securing good rank in entrance exams made my dream come true. But it was not as easy as i expected, it was quite hard. But i haven't lost confidence. I believe i can still catch up and i will indeed.
My Interests
I’m quite interested in latest developments in science and technology and is keen in gathering latest news in this field. Being more specific my interests include quantum mechanics,astrophysics,genetic engineering etc. I likes to read a lot mainly through online sources. My hobbies include surfing internet for newer contents and sleeping mainly.
It has been one week since i've joined steemit,you guys might me wondering what took me so long for my first post. I was indeed busy in exploring the whole steemit community. I know its a big one and its impossible to study it wholly. But i had made a rough sketch and i'm indeed amazed. The concept of a rewarding community is quite interesting. Anyway it’s not the first of that kind. Some might have heard about Tsu, it was the first to bring forward such an idea. But Tsu was more based on a pyramidal earning scheme and users gets rewarded for inviting friends along with posting. It was more like a Multi Level Marketing scheme. The invite only platform made it worse and spammy and many communities including Facebook had initially blocked invite links. Tsu is now no more, it was already been shut down months ago.
Steemit is quite different and unique I believe. The idea of rewarding in the form of cryptocurrency is quite promising indeed. I strongly believe that the community has the potential to grow fast and earn millions of users in the near future.
Future plans
Nothing specific, want to complete my graduation first. Thinking to find a better job after that, not quite interested in doing Post Graduation presently. The interest may or maynot change in the future. I believe in fate, the term itself have everything in it. Just do what you believe and rest will happen accordingly.
