Aloha! My name is Sharon Leopardi, and I am brand new to Steemit. This looks like a fun contest so I thought I would contribute.
I am stoked on the idea of Steemit as a social media platform as it incentivises us to share instead of us giving away our content without reward like other platforms such as Facebook. For me it motivates me to take the time share my experience and perspectives.
A little bit about me, I live off grid on the Big Island of Hawaii, and lead a simple life. I love working with the land to grow my own food, and also love adventuring and traveling. I have a big for long distance hiking, I completed a 1,900 mile hike across both island of New Zealand called the Te Araroa Trail in 2014-2015 as well as hiking 500 miles of the Continental Divide Trail thru Colorado in 2016. I would love to connect with other Thru-Hikers or those who love backpacking on Steemit, and share some of my knowledge and experience about it. I have come up with loads of great healthy backpacking food recipes and dialed in my ultralight gear.
I am also an avid watcher of the night sky, and have been studying astrology for several years with my current interests leaning to Harmonic/Vibrational astrology. I would love to connect and share with other on that front.
Other interests include tea, food making and foraging, alchemical herbal experiments including spagyrics, dancing, electronic music, beekeeping, nonviolent communication, natural building....this list can go on and change in priority every day!
