Heron Patrick (born January 30, 1920, Hedingly, near Leeds - March 20, 1999, Zennor, Cornwall) - British artist, painter, abstractionist, engraver, draftsman, art theorist.
Heron, painter, writer and fabric artist, during the Second World War deliberately refused to join the army and worked on the farm. Together with painter Ben Nicholson and sculptor Barbara Hepworth, he worked in St. Ives, Cornwall, where all three, each in their own way, created abstract works. Heron taught at the Central School of Art in London and was also an art critic. His numerous solo exhibitions were held around the world.
