Hey everyone, glad to be on Steemit!
My name is Matthew (Online I go by Reinhardt) and I'm from the southern paradise of North Carolina, USA. I'm 22 years old and I've been browsing articles for the past week or so, finally deciding to jump in and introduce myself to the community. I'm very interested to see how the Steemit platform will develop over the next while and I'm definitely excited to be a part of the new wave of social media. I particularly appreciate the fact that this community incentivizes quality content that takes time and effort to develop unlike most other platforms which reward low-effort posts with oft-times little substance.
To make a living I promote an app that connects people to a network of law firms for a monthly rate and also invest in cryptocurrencies. I do odd jobs on the side as well, taking whatever comes my way and learning what I can. I'm always open to new opportunities and (most) new experiences! Gotta have a disclaimer on that part!
I very much enjoy the time freedom that comes with my job and spend most of my time outside by the pool or with friends and family (which include my best friend and brother @sariun and my sister in law @calendula), especially during this beautiful North Carolina summer. I should mention that we're all under the same roof, which can be interesting at times, but there's enough space for everyone and we get along quite well. I've been extraordinarily blessed to have such a wonderful family.
Since the start of 2017 I've been on a journey of self-improvement and I've learned a LOT in that time about myself and the world. I've rediscovered my faith, gotten involved in new communities, and experienced life in a way like never before. I have traveled more in the past 6 months than I have in several years. I joined Toastmasters; an international group dedicated to improvement in the public speaking arena. I became a Freemason. I've started to read more, listen more, and become more. It's absolutely incredible the amount of change I've undertaken in just these past few months and I'm very excited to see what the future holds!
A few of my hobbies include reading, hiking, swimming, disc golfing, traveling, learning, and eating, as you can see here.
I have several ideas for my contributions to Steem, including informational posts about my life and the communities I associate with, my experiences in traveling and my self-development journey, as well as freemasonry in general. I hope you enjoy the content I'll be producing and I'm looking forward to being a part of this great community and growing with you all!
