Hey guys, I thought its about time that I should introduce myself.
Yeah, that's me on the picture above. I'm Nicole but let’s just call me Nicky, I'm born and raised in Sabah. Now, I'm sure most of you guys is wondering where on earth Sabah is. Hmmm let’s see where should I begin with, Sabah is more widely known around the world as Borneo. It's a part of Malaysia, neighbouring Brunei, Philippines and Indonesia. Mount Kinabalu, Danum Valley and Sipadan Island are a few of many wonders we have in Sabah. Do visit us, I'm assured that you won’t be disappointed. The best time to visit Sabah is around end of January, till early of May.
So who Nicky really is?
I’m quite an outgoing and friendly person, does things at the spur of the moment at times. I have a different personality, during and off work, a strict person I would say when I put my working hat on :P otherwise I’m quite an easy going person. Back then, before I came back to Sabah for good, I was working in the events industry in Kuala Lumpur.

Mostly, handling corporate events for government and corporate businesses, if we got lucky, sometimes concerts as well. There’s a few perks being in the events industry, we get to communicate and interact with celebrities and VIPs backstage, but other than that, it’s all hard work. Deadlines after deadlines, there’s nothing that’s not urgent when you’re in the events industry. Not everyone could handle such pressure but, I’m lucky that I love what I does. One day, after being in the events industry for 8 years, my dad ask me for a favour to come back and help out in the family business.
So, here I am, wearing my safety hat, visiting sites with my safety shoes on when I have to. A few blinks of an eye, without realizing it has been 10 years since I am back here for good. Being back here made me realized, I love staying here at my hometown. Life here is more relaxing and laid back, simple yet fulfilling at the same time. To think back, I’m glad I’ve made a correct decision back then. Till then. Cheers!
