My name is Javeer and I'm taking some time out to introduce myself today.
I'm an Australian and my hometown is Melbourne. Melbourne is a city I'm very happy to have grown up in. These days Melbourne is in the news a ton for being "up there" if not on top of the "world's most livable city" ratings. I don't dispute the notion but I do think the idea of the most livable city depends on each individuals own preference.
I became involved in cryptocurrency in 2012 in a very large part thanks to Clif High. After listening to Clif High explain the power of blockchain and it's ability to bring real transparency to a multitude of markets at scale, it was a no brainer. After visiting the country twice on holiday, I moved to Japan to live and work. Working in Japan launched me into the English teaching field, a role I enjoy so much. I learn just as my much from my students as they do from me. My initial motivation for leaving Australia was to challenge myself. I've faced many a challenge living in Japan. Being far from family. Learning a different language. A different culture. Building a network of friends. It's all been for the higher good of my spirit and I'm grateful for the opportunity.
So I'm sat at home today with an awful cough and experiencing some lethargicness but am chuffed to be here reading the thoughts of you in the community and contributing some of my own too. Cheers!
