Hi there, I'm @gringo211985 and I'd like to introduce myself to my fellow Steemians

I've been active on Steemit for around a week now and have found myself coming back every day to post the things I like. I haven't made many followers yet, but I find that I love the concept of Steemit too much to give up. I can see myself being an active member of the Steemit community for the foreseeable future.

I am kind of struggling to get my head around some of the ways Steemit works, but I believe that will come with time. However if any of my fellow Steemians would be kind enough to help explain a few bits then I'd very much appreciate that.

So the things I like to post here on Steemit are usually photography, meme's, podcasts, and news. I especially love macro shots of insects and animals. It's a whole different world when you're up that close!

I've been into crypto's since around 2012 but I had a bit of a hard time when we crashed from the $1200 mark and had to stop my mining operations. I started getting back into my crypto mining around 6 months ago and I'm looking forward to the future of crypto. We've been through pretty much everything that can be thrown at us with silk road, mtgox, hard fork etc. and I personally think it's onwards and upwards from here!
