Over the last ten days, we have seen Funditian “Founders” raise money for their own personal projects with NO FEES. Here’s is a graphic showing some of what THEY have achieved so far.
Calling All Funditians
Here at Fundition, we have come up with the playful term for our users, “Funditians,” because we believe that this is a unique and different offering on the Steem blockchain, where ALL funds go to the causes that need them. We believe in LOVE as a precursor for a good citizen on the blockchain we all share, and our greatest goal is to spread that goodwill to places far and wide. That’s where we need your help.
The twelve of us at Fundition share a common vision for giving on Steem, and we have already seen that project Founders are picking up on that vision. Each “Founder” creates projects that are fun, serious, artistic, charitable, inventive, and more. The journey is just beginning. Help us share our hearts.
The Fundition Platform
In our post introducing Fundition, we detailed what the Fundition platform can do, and we will update all Funditians as the platform changes and improves.
Though our “origin story” is still brief, we have much to be proud of with our fellow Funditian early adopters. After the launch of Fundition.io, many Funditians have started sharing and giving their hearts to one another (literally; we are a platform built around hearts and the Steem blockchain). We invite every Steemian to join us.
Our hope is for every Funditian to be involved, and we feel the development of a caring community is our highest calling. We already feel that Funditians are our family, and that sense will only grow. We are all Funditians, from @hightouch (who has developed Fundition from the beginning), to the newest user, who might have just seen Steem for the first time. We believe in egalitarianism, and we can’t wait to see how you will uniquely enrich and benefit from our community.
Who Are Funditians?
Funditians are users of the Fundition Platform. You are a Founder, a Backer, a Supporter, or a Collaborator; we are all Funditians.
We believe that a solid foundation will encourage all of us to share our hearts and our projects; this will lead to one of the most powerful and inviting communities on the Steem blockchain.
We gather most often on our Discord server, where Funditians gather from all over the world. (We even have exciting opportunities for Funditians who speak different languages; stay tuned!)at the moment, we are nearing 200 members in our Discord community, and we can’t wait to see you join us! Reach out to anyone on our team, and we will do our best to make you feel welcome!
Why Use Fundition?
Fundition is all about crowdfunding for projects in a collaborative way. Ours is also the first fully decentralized platform that gives you opportunity to give or receive donations with other currencies, without having any middlemen or intermediaries. In other words, NO FEES.
Any donations are immediately and automatically converted to STEEM, then securely and directly sent to the Founder’s wallet. Again, what we are most proud of is that Fundition does not ever take fees, or in any way profit financially from these direct, decentralized gifts.
If you are interested in decentralization, or if you simply don’t want to charge or pay fees, you will like Fundition. This is the first crowdfunding platform in the world to allow giving and receiving donations in this manner; with cryptocurrencies, and with no fees (while traditional crowdfunding platforms take 5% to 20% of donations).
Heart Based Giving
Fundition is giving all of us an opportunity to change the world for the better. If you are a Funditian, you will literally give your hearts to projects. Our tokenized system makes every gift, no matter the size, meaningful. Currently, 1 heart is worth 0.001 STEEM.
The gamification of projects is something we hope will also give additional enjoyment to Funditians. We will continue to roll out features to follow your favorite projects (or your own project) with excitement.
This community-centered gamification is present in certain trending games, such as PUBG, Fortnite, or CS Go. While those games offer community, the camaraderie between players is based on often violent activity, in a fantasy world. We are doing what we can to create the same sense of community, but around real-world projects, with like-minded people from around the globe.
