Hello,
I just found Hive today while I was trying to login to Steemit to post a blog at the company I'm interning at (as a social media marketer), and then I found out that Steemit was dead. I had created a Steemit account long ago but never really got into it or understood it much. I want to put more time into understanding Hive though because I sense that there is high potential here for it to become the social media of the future.
A bit about me: I'm currently a Business student, undergrad and I will start my 6th year of university this September. Business is my third major, I studied one year of Engineering and then a couple years of Film. However, due to my brain surgery, I had to move back home and start uni all over again.
About my surgery: I had a cyst in my pituitary gland, and I had an open brain surgery where they removed the cyst, but also cut the stock of the pituitary gland. Therefore I don't produce any of the hormones from the pituitary gland anymore, AMA if you want to know about the brain surgery procedure and the recovery process. I hallucinated some nights, it was pretty intense.
Other than that, I lived in many different countries throughout my life, therefore I feel more of a global citizen compared to a citizen of my home country.
Well, I'm excited to be here, I hope my excitement will stay with me because it feels daunting to learn about Hive... lol.
