Best football team in history

Welcome everybody!!! : )

In the 2008-2009 season, Pep Guardiola made his debut as coach of FC Barcelona. His first year as a coach, he managed to upgrade to Barcelona B. The club's board was set to replace Frank Rijkaard, a fact that occurred in June 2008, after the poor results of the 2007/08 season. Pep Guardiola began in this way his time as coach of the first team of Barcelona, which could not be more successful, as he managed to win the Triplete (League, Cup and Champions League), feat that no Spanish club had achieved before in the History of football and becoming the 5th European team to achieve it (PSV Eindhoven, Manchester United, Ajax Amsterdam and Celtic were the only European teams to do so until then).

After a successful stage as a player and to succeed as coach of Barça Atlètic, he managed to win 14 titles out of 19 possible in his four seasons on the bench of the first team

The fifteenth Catalan coach in the history of the Club came to the first team with the mission of making two years forget in which the team did not raise any title. For this, he applied the same game plan that he tried at Barça as a player and that made him succeed in Barça Atlètic, 4-3-3, although sometimes he came to bet on an even more audacious and offensive system such as the 3-4-3.

Barca de Guardiola and his second, Tito Vilanova, only understood one type of football. It is the attack, the possession and associations, which forced the opponent to run after the ball. This is how his Barça played - before his Barça Atlètic, who exceeded in control of ball and shots on goal practically all the rivals he faced. The coach of Santpedor valued the talent of his players, but put the work and individual sacrifice before the benefit of the group. He understood football as a group sport in which he was the maximum responsible for the results and, therefore, therefore, the leader of this group.

Josep Guardiola proved to be a meticulous coach, who took care of every detail. He prepared matches with videos of the rival and never thought beyond the next. He was a brilliant motivator who got the best performance from each of the men in his squad. This philosophy brought him back to success with the first team in his debut in Primera: in the 2008/09 season Barça lifted Copa, Liga and Champions and won the legendary triplet (it was the first Spanish team to win it). These three titles, added to those obtained during the first part of the 2009/10 campaign (Spanish Supercup, European Supercup and Club World Cup), made it the best year in the history of Barça in 2009, the legendary year of the Six Cups.

This historic milestone crowned Guardiola as the third coach - along with Johan Cruyff and Josep Samitier - who lifted the league having won before as a Barça player. In addition, he became the sixth man to lift the Champions having achieved it as a player, the first technician to achieve the triplet in the 21st century and the only one in the world that has won six titles in a year.

The 2009/10 season, Guardiola's second at the head of the bench, culminated in the achievement of the second consecutive League title, the twentieth in the history of the Club. The team would end up playing the regularity competition in the last game, against Valladolid (4-0), and celebrate the same day, before the Camp Nou fans, something that had not happened since the 1993/94 season.

The avalanche of titles did not stop, since the 20010/11 campaign won the Spanish Super Cup, the League and the Champions. Finally, the 2011/12 season fell the Spanish Super Cup, the European Supercup, the Club World Cup and the Copa del Rey. In the final of this last competition - at the end of the day, the last match of Josep Guardiola on the bench of Barça - the team defeated Athletic Club 3-0, after offering a first half hour of extraordinary game that for many has been considered the best exhibition of Barça de Guardiola.

During this time, Barça not only triumphed, but also became a roller. As a very significant fact, in these years more than forty records of Spanish, European and world football have been broken, and especially the fourteen titles obtained from nineteen possible stand out, an unprecedented milestone in the history of football. He also collected a huge collection of individual titles, including the Best Coach of the Year by FIFA (2011).
