DESCRIPTION
Drug Free and Quality Control Community Development Service is a rural community based group which is aimed at complementing the efforts of National Agencies, such as;
- National Agency For Food And Drug Administration And Control (NAFDAC) &
- National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) that seeks for the well-being of rural dwellers.
Most rural dwellers take drugs (expired, counterfeit etc) and other substances without knowing it implications to their health and well-being whereby creating problems for the community
MISSION STATEMENT:
Enhancing the living standard of rural communities at all times.
GOAL:
To improve the economic, health and socio-cultural conditions of rural communities towards sustainable development.
SPECIFIC PURPOSE of DFQCCDS
- Eradication of fake and adulterated foods and drugs
- Create awareness on danger of drug abuse and other substance.
ACTIVITIES
- Campaign and Mass Sensitization
- Public Lectures and Programs
- Establishment of drug free clubs in Schools
- Ensuring linkages with the host Communities.
