Wow. What a beautifully written and elegant first post - bravo. I'm also a fan of Japanese culture and all things zen. My favourite uniquely Japanese concept is Wabi Sabi 侘寂 - or the idea of 'perfection in imperfection'. I lived in Japan for 2 years back in 2009 and I'm dying to go back one day!
