Hello Steemit! I am a world travelling student who has just settled in Scotland for Uni!

Hello there! Welcome to what I hope will be a permanent blog space for my life. When I was 13 my parents decided to move me from Scotland to Singapore in order to receive a better education and be able to experience more of life's wonders!

Singapore has taught me to be so open minded in the search for new experiences, which is why this summer alone I decided to visit Denmark, Sweden, Hungary, Thailand and to finish it all off Scotland.

This is the last photo I managed to get of myself in Singapore (which you can see the story of in my first post). PS. I know I look like I'm wearing a Darth Vader Helmet.

So if you like to travel and you like to learn new things, consider giving me a follow because I am planning on writing about all of my summer ventures, and my life now as I start Uni in 5 days! Let the madness begin.

My first stop was in Thailand's party Island - Koh Samui!

Due to my best friend being so annoyingly active, I was awake at 9am everyday on the next adventure, whether it was sight seeing, hiking or even just exploring beaches. There are two main beaches in Koh Samui being the party beach (Chewang) and the relaxing beach (Lamai). Lamai, despite being a little run down has some really interesting water activities like those crazy water jet shoes. Chewang however is really crazy, especially if you like a party.

Chewang brought me pretty much all of the main new experiences that have taught me so much in such a short time. There are so many bars and clubs that it is impossible to get through them all in one night, so we had 7 to try our best! If there is one bar you get to go to, try visit "Viking Bar". It's tiny, it's cheap and hell the staff are the most lovely people I have genuinely ever met. It got to the point where we got our picture on the wall because of how close we got to them. The nights out here and at Green Mango are the only reason I can dance in public and not feel self conscious anymore.

Furthermore, the Bob Marley bar down past ArkBar is so relaxing with Reggae versions of the top pop songs, which even to me sounds awful on paper but in reality it was so chill and the cocktails were delicious so I cannot recommend them enough.

The nights out lasted from about 9pm until whatever time in the morning we found ourselves bored, which usually was around 4 am. Every night is a party and I really recommend going for the Full Moon Party, even though it is getting worst and worst every year because of danger issues (Drugs).

Even if Partying isn't your thing, the Secret Garden, the Big Buddha, the fishing village and Lamai beach are only a few of the more relaxing options and especially for more touristy trips, there are a few beautiful waterfalls that my friends and I visited that you can climb and swim in.

Really, Thailand is the reason I lack so many of the fears I had before. I used to be afraid to take my shirt off, afraid to talk to girls, afraid to ride a motorcycle, afraid to just simply live a little!

I shit you not, I am so far away from the guy that I was before this trip.
