IntroduceYourself - Get to know me through SteemIt

Hi All,

My name is Arielle, a new member to SteemIt! I am 21 years old and live in the mountains of Pennsylvania. Ironically I came from the beaches of Westhampton and you can't imagine how much I miss the smell of the sea. I am Puerto Rican and Dominican but I don't speak Spanish or dance or cook Spanish.. Therefore, I am not the best advocate for Spanish people.

Family: I am the only girl of 4 children. I have 3 younger brothers; a 16 year old, a 7 year old, and a 4 year old. As you can imagine it was a pretty busy and loud house. I haven't lived with my brothers for over 3 years and hope to let my brother move in with me if he decides to come to school near me!

Education: I am a Psychology Student at East Stroudsburg University and graduate this December with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. I am part of the National Psychology Honor Society Psi Chi and find it to be a great accomplishment. After graduating I plan on attending a Nursing program and working my way up to a Nurse Practitioner specializing in Mental Health and finding alternative means of treatment other than prescription medication that has long lists of side effects and disadvantages.

Personality: I am very outgoing and bubbly but I can sometimes be too hyper. However, I get sh** done. I always dedicate myself to any task or job and find myself to be an overachiever sometimes. But I accept that and believe its going to take me a long way.

How I Found SteemIt: I came home from work a couple of days ago to find my boyfriend typing a blog... now the last thing I expected was to see him writing a blog because honestly he is very to himself. But he is, so from there I had to assume it was interesting. He explained to me how SteemIt worked and all the different things that I could post about and share so I figured 'Hey, why not'. So here I am not typing my first post hoping that people see it and upvote it.

I can't wait to hear more about all you other SteemIt members and read your posts, I have a feeling this is gonna be fun
