Well, below is a screenshot in which one of the aims and functions, this new project will cover, was reemphasized by a notable steemain, @stellabelle. She is really a great thinker with beautiful soul.
Airhawk-project is born out of a steemit based micro group of about 907 steemians on telegram. This group is composed of people from different nationality, but highly dominated by Nigerians (90%).
The group is an open group with access to anyone who wants to join. It was the brain child of a thoughtful steemian, @dreamchasser who created the group to relate information, support and encourage newly sign up accounts on steemit. It also aimed at using this group to maintain activeness and growth of members of the steemit community- narrowing mainly on the African community. The group was tagged “steemitdotcom”. This is to engrave the website name on peoples mind with the intention of making them remember the platform url without any iota of doubt.
Who is steemitdotcom community:
The steemitdotcom community is a telegram based community who with the help of a few was able to recruit and sign up over 500 steemit account in one week. Though the community could not sustain the activeness of her members due to some member getting discouraged by the payout. A substantial amount of the community members are very active and consistence on steemit.
The community build up is based on few Nigerians coming together to support individual’s growth on steemit. It is made up of people from different parts of the world amongst which are Indians, Ghanaian, Malaysians, Asian, and many others.
Building the community has contributed to the growth and consistency of steemit members in its own little way. It has also benefitted from close interaction and bond between people of different countries and cultures.
As a community, we felt the need to make more relevant impact on the steemit community. We decided to take the bold step to set foot as not just a name on telegram but to make a difference on steemit.
We started out with an official account called @steemitdotcom. However, the account name @steemitdotcom looks too closely to the steemit.com community and could be misunderstood for identity theft/impersonation. Hence the new account name @airhawk-project.
Purpose/Aim of airhawk-project account.
The account will have on its blog, primary projects for its purpose and other related updates that will be needed from time to time.
Some of these projects are:
Airhawk- project will be bringing to you weekly data report of the activities of the Africa community on steemit.
There will be updated information on top/best payout posts in the community, contests, competitions, challenges, country-based steemit promotions, post promotions, events, recruitments, details and any other activities within the community that needs to be exposed to the larger steemit community. These data would be posted on the airhawk-project blog as a weekly report. We will also be working hand in hand with the leaders/pioneers of all the projects currently ongoing in the African community.
Curation
@airhawk-project account will be engaging in curation for newly signup accounts and certain good quality post with low payout from the African community and extensive to the larger steemit community. This would also include preserving a percentage of upvotes for the "introduceyourself" tag. We are doing this so as to support and encourage newly signup accounts and good content with low payout. This is because we understand how difficult it is to get certain level of exposure to earn good payouts. Many newly signed accounts are not active due to poor payouts. Although quality of content of post will be a top criteria for getting curated.
How does @airhawk-project intend to do this?
I know you are wondering how a new account with such reputation and low sp will be able to attain curation project!!
Well, the team behind this intend to make donation towards this project for sp renting so as to support the steemit community. A view of the account on steemit blockchain will reveal how this part of the project is brought to effectiveness.
Giveaways:
@airhawk-project will be engaging in certain free SBD giveaways. There will be certain criteria for selection. This will be achieved from the SBD payout earned from post on the airhawk-project blog. Part of this SBD will also be invested in SP rental for the growth of the curation project

Is airhawk-project limited to the African community?
No, we are not. Although some of our projects are limited to the African community as we do want to focus on data report within the larger community, but our curation and giveaway projects are extended to the African and the larger steemit community. This is because the brain child of the airhawk-project, steemitdotcom, is a not Africa restricted community. We will also love to have the larger steemit benefit from the airhawk-project.

Exchange:
For any new prospect on the steemit.com platform, the first question they ask you is "how do I make real money and not this your cryptocurrencies?". So, we thought that a means to easily convert your SBD straight to the local currency would be helpful.
This is a telegram based exchange platform called Airhawk-project Exchange HERE where people can join and exchange their SBD directly to their LOCAL CURRENCIES/BTC without going though the rigorous process of an exchange.
Though not fully open to operation yet, we intend to make it open to all types of currencies as long as you find someone on the platform who is willing to exchange at a rate reasonable enough within the current market rate. More update on this will be posted on the blog soon. A detail explanation on how the exchange will work will be updated on the blog as soon as possible.
