Hello fellow people. I am Aella, also a fellow people.

The quick headline is ex fundamentalist turned camgirl turned sex mime/acid addict turned cryptoinvestor, but the real story includes a lot of filler episodes where I stare at computer screens and fend off calls from my mother trying to tell me to exercise.

During a truth or dare game, someone asked me what my most proud accomplishment was, and I cited the #1 Gonewild Post Of All Time, which is weird because I put a fraction of the skill and effort into that than I have into other things, which means I just feel pride when lots of people like me. Maybe I should have said 'learning morse code' or something.

I was homeschooled from birth to 12th grade by professionally-evangelical fundamentalist Christians in Idaho, where I did things like 'protest abortion clinics' and 'compete in Bible verse competitions' and 'shame people who read Harry Potter' and 'be wracked with guilt all the time.'

After leaving home, going to college, traumatically losing my faith, being too poor for college and dropping out, I turned to a series of shitty jobs involving windowless factories and waking up at 4am.

I eventually escaped from that into the warm, wet embrace of camgirling, which was, to everyone's surprise, not actually a rebellious act - just a regular ol' attempt to not be poor. I bought BTC around this time but did not consider this a legitimate attempt to not be poor.

I did a documentary or two, got in playboy a little bit, and spent a year doing high doses of acid every week until I almost died.

Eventually (5 years) I quit porn and being the universe, and now I’m working for a blockchain-based dating site startup. Things are moving very quickly and I’m stressed a lot, sort of like skydiving, except instead of the ground the thing I’m speeding towards is “being able to afford a 100% soylent diet.”

My hobbies include ballroom dancing, fantasy/scifi and worldbuilding, rationality (of the Lesswrong variety), cartography, traffic intersections, sweating on command, trying to make people eat nootropics, playing Overwatch, Abalone, and the accordion; painting, typing super fast (I'd love to race you), and drunkenly debating consciousness in dimly lit group houses.

I love Reddit and I love crypto, so I'm really excited to finally join the Steemit community (is it a sin to describe Steemit as reddit+crypto? I've been a sinner a long time so I can't tell anymore).

I've been hanging out in the Steemit chat and so far everyone has been nice and has talked about poop at least twice, which is a really good sign.
