Hello everyone, I introduce myself to you as a new member of the Hive community. My name is Erick Carvajal.
I am a computer engineer native of the first-born of the American continent Cumaná, Venezuela.
Tengo 34 Años de edad y soy padre soltero en la actualidad. Vengo de una familia no muy numerosa (y por mi parte pienso mantenerlo así 😅)
I am 34 years old and a single parent at present. I come from a not very large family (and for my part I plan to keep it that way 😅).

Lo que me gusta hacer | What I like to do
A lo largo de mi carrera me ha gustado ser parte de comunidades de tecnología (crearlas también). Algo que me ha llenado de muchas satisfacciones pues me ha permitido viajar, dar charlas en público, talleres y conocer gente genial.
Throughout my career I have enjoyed being part of technology communities (creating them too). Something that has filled me with a lot of satisfaction because it has allowed me to travel, give public talks, workshops and meet great people.

¿Cómo llegué hasta aquí? | How did I get here?
El tema de recibir pagos desde el exterior en Venezuela se hizo un reto que pude darle solución gracias al uso de algunas apps de fintech, plataformas descentralizadas para swap y otras centralizadas como Binance.
The issue of receiving payments from abroad in Venezuela became a challenge that I was able to solve thanks to the use of some fintech apps, decentralized platforms for swaps and other centralized platforms such as Binance.
Justo en ese momento en el que me tocó leer y estudiar un poco sobre el tema de blockchain, descentralización, criptomonedas, entre otros, fue que pude entender todos los beneficios que traen a cualquier sociedad contar con este tipo de herramientas.
Just at that moment when I had to read and study a bit about blockchain, decentralization, cryptocurrencies, among others, I was able to understand all the benefits that such tools bring to any society.
Aunque hace bastante tiempo había conocido la plataforma de HIVE dando vueltas por internet, solo hasta ahora es que me he tomado el tiempo de crear mi cuenta y configurar todo lo necesario para ingresar. Debo confesar que me motivó el hecho de ver que ya hay una comunidad en mi ciudad, incluso ya hicieron un evento Hive Meetup.
Although I had known about the HIVE platform for quite some time while browsing the internet, it is only now that I have taken the time to create my account and configure everything necessary to enter. I must confess that I was motivated by the fact that there is already a community in my city, they even did a Hive Meetup event.
Lo que espero hacer por acá | What I hope to do around here
Espero poder compartir por acá algo de mi experiencia en el área de tecnología, fintech, que pueda ser de utilidad a las personas que hacen vida en esta comunidad y también a futuro poder integrarme a futuros Meetup o eventos que se realicen en mi ciudad.
I hope to share here some of my experience in the area of technology, fintech, that can be useful to people who make life in this community and also in the future to join future Meetup or events that take place in my city.
