Individuals who wish to continue to celebrate Mother's Day & Father's Day may continue to do so, but they should not be Federally recognized holidays. It is no longer appropriate to continue to celebrate Women (and Men) only for their reproduction. We encourage and will support efforts to celebrate all individuals regardless of their ability or desire to produce offspring. How long will we continue to only celebrate and honor women after they have successfully given birth? The time for change is now and it starts with you, HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!

International Men's Day, inaugurated in 1992 and celebrated on November 19th around the world, is supported by a variety of individuals and groups in Oceania, the Caribbean, North America, Asia, Europe and Africa. Endorsed by UNESCO, Director of Women and Culture of Peace Ingeborg Breines said of IMD, "This is an excellent idea and would give some gender balance." The objectives of celebrating an International Men's Day include focusing on men's and boys' health, improving gender relations, promoting gender equality, and highlighting male role models. It is an occasion to highlight discrimination against men and boys and to celebrate their achievements and contributions, in particular for their contributions to community, family, marriage, and child care. The broader and ultimate aim of the event is to promote basic humanitarian values. Learn more on Wikipedia: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_Men%27s_Day

Mothers and Fathers deserve to be treated with honor and respect and celebrating Motherhood and Fatherhood is a valiant principle.
