Away from poetry and fiction, I thought it wise to ink down my thoughts and ideas on something a little different from my usual routine. I have oftentimes love to write and it's like fire burning in my bones.Consequently, I came through this one title: DAVID'S PORTION "71.

THE KING JAMES VERSION: PSALM 71:21
Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth.

The steemit online social network community have created an amazing platform where steemians are privileged to share their ideas and thoughts on any preferred area of interest.

In here, David, a one time King of Israel poured out his sincere prayer to God as expressed succinctly in the above mentioned verse.

THE INSIGHT WITH PETER
Isn't it weird to have realise that our creator can cause or show us trouble and in his power bring us up again? Isn't it interesting, how God uses life circumstances to draw us back to himself at will?

However, it is important to note that in as much as life is concern, challenges and troubles are inevitable and in our ability to react to them measure the strength of our faith. God allow certain predicament happen to us to make us aware that only him God is the solution provider, to return us back to him and to prove that he himself is God.

Bringing the verse home, many times, we have been faced with multiple of trouble, forlorns and life turbulence to an extent we doubt if God really exist. He does exist and still exist. He is the one in charge and controller of the universe. He knows our flaws and how much well he can relate to man to back man back to himself. As a matter of man, the way God works is entirely different form the everyday life of man including afflicting troubles to show himself.

Hence, David hinted expressly on this part that "HE" GOD shows him David (anyone more like paraphrasing now); great troubles. Which implies that God allow somewhat kind of challenges to occur to us as we could see in the case of Job in the Bible, the Children of Israel and lots more. think about this, if there wasn't sickness you wouldn't have known that God is a healer (that doesn't mean that God is the source of sickness never, he is not) get me right in my point. If people weren't poor, we wouldn't have acknowledged that God is the one who gives power to have wealth. You can go on and on.

Furthermore, I have realise that this context of the verse not only reveals God's supremacy but to subject mankind to depend on trust in him. He (God) had in several occasions employed situations where God's people had to turn back to God for rescuing.
In the older days, God could allow war befall his people and at the end of it all they realise God is the source of victory.

Interestingly, the verse concludes by saying thus"...shall bring me up again from the depths of the earth..." That's what his faithfulness can do and only God can do this. To sum up my point, God had loved us to dear to himself that he requires our totality to him. To please him to do what he thinks for us and everything that concerns us; faith, trust are one of the key factors.
