Goosebumps

I saw a video yesterday, not the crap that I normally receive but a truly hart warming video. The four minutes spent watching this video had me thinking for the past 24 hours. The video starts when a girl walks on to a stage. She has the body of a young girl and the legs of a five year old. You see her taking of her shoes and stretching her small toes.

She sits down. She starts playing the piano. Impressive yes, but then she opens her mouth. And goosebumps, oh and then the tears. The reaction of the crowd and the judges said it all. Ohhhhh and the standing ovation at the end. The one judge sat quietly, the other judge walked up stage, fell down to her knees and embraced the girl and she wiped away her tears.

I don't know what kind of childhood she had, she was probably dependable on her mother but now she achieved this on her own. She achieved this on her own. Her mother was probably supporting her through it all but she had to learn to play the piano. She had to practice. This was her achievement. She could not wipe away her own tears but she concluded her performance with a standing ovation. You go Lorelai!

So what is your excuse? What is standing in your way in your path to achievement. Identify it and work around it.

Make a plan but just do something. So what if you fail, you will regret it for the rest of you life if you do not try.

Go for it but remember and reward the people who stood by you when times were tough. Enjoy the ride, you only live once.
