What Makes Your Brownies Different?

When Jesse Eltzler was in his final year in college, at an advertising class, his professor called him up, asked him to pitch a product he love to him.

I sell brownies and they are very delicious and gluten free!

He pitched his dear brownies that his friend has been sending to him for some months to sell with pride.

Hey Son, what makes your brownies different?

Jesse felt puzzled and confused.

But my brownies is sweet and gluten free professor!

No, you don't get it Jesse.

Everyone sell brownies and there are many other there that are saying just the same thing you are saying now.
But what is your differentiating factor?

That simple question and a lesson was more valuable than all the things Jesse learned in four years in his over $160k tuition college.

Alexander Scott has been a great guy I admire for years.

His best selling book Rhinoceros Success was the inspiration for me for my first ever book Eagle Success in 2012.

Alex (as I love to call him) is really a Rhinoceros - hard, sturdy, rugged and strong and.....different.

How best do you think a motivational speaker can advertise in a newspaper?

Alex isn't just like everyone who advertise in a newspaper decades ago.

He was different.

He wasn't like any and every other advertiser.

He uses humor and sarcasm to pitch his work.

There is Jesse and Alex.

What about you?

What makes your brownies different?

Now, take away the brownies or the newspaper ads, replace it with just anything you are or have - your business, your relationship, your job, your passion or even purpose.

What makes you different?
The world doesn't remember the normal, the world notice and remember the different and unusual.
What makes your brownies different?
