To mourn a hero.

It is with great sadness that I write to mourn Ari Fuld, a hero who was brutally murdered by a cowardly terrorist who crept up behind him while he was on the phone outside a shopping mall.

Despite suffering fatal stab wounds, Ari pursued and shot the terrorist and shouted "pigua, pigua" (Hebrew for terrorist attack) alerting everyone around. His brave final actions which saved the lives of others and led to the quick capture of the terrorist are recounted here.

Like me, Ari was a father in his mid 40s, an English speaking immigrant to Israel and a pro-Israel advocate who confronted the lies about Israel with TRUTH.

We shared many friends in common among the relatively small "Anglo" community in Israel and his murder has devastated a community as well as leaving 4 children without a father.

He was an Israeli and American patriot, a defender of the innocent until his last breath.
In hebrew, his name, Ari, means Lion. He was a true Lion of Judah.

I write these words in tears, the traditional Jewish words of mourning: Baruch Dayan Emet. (God is the True Judge).
May his family and friends be comforted among the mourners of Zion.
