Indonesia's startup news, March 2017

A look at Indonesia's startup scene in March this year, collecting most of the English-language press coverage of Indonesia's tech, web, mobile and fintech activity.

A couple of things to keep in mind:

  • First, Indonesia is a country of nearly 260 million people, so there's a huge potential user base for web, mobile and financial technology; and
  • second, Indonesia is a predominantly Muslim country, meaning that Islamic fintech is a very real opportunity with far wider implications.
