Sultan Iskandar Muda Mosque in Pidie, Sites for Religious Tourism

The oldest mosque in Pidie Aceh district is Masjid Raya Labui.
This mosque is a Sultan Iskandar Muda relic.
Sultan Iskandar Muda frequently traveled the region during his rule, stopping frequently in different places in an effort to bring the Acehnese under his leadership together.
Sultan Iskandar Muda presented the community with an idea during this stopover to construct a mosque in the Pidie district village.

The first Raya Labui Mosque was constructed, the mosque's keeper claimed. The Great Mosque was constructed in 1612 AD through cooperative labor from residents of the Labui village as well as from a number of the Pidie district's subdistricts. An architect from China was also hired to create the building for the place of worship as soon as construction was about to start

Though Raya Labui Mosque was chosen as the new name for the mosque, Po Teumeureuhom Mosque was actually the original name of the building and This mosque's minbar and stick, which were left behind by Sultan Iskandar Muda, are the center of attention. An artist from China who is thought to be hundreds of years old created the wooden pulpit

The view of the mosque is enhanced by its expansive courtyard and shady trees. In addition, there is a bale-bale in the courtyard next to the mosque where guests can relax while taking in the soft breeze that perpetually blows from the rice fields next to the mosque's fence
