- India is among the bottom five countries on the environmental performance index 2018.
- Its overall law ranking - 177 among 180 countries - was linked to a poor performance in environment health policy and deaths due to their pollution categories.
- The report was released on sideline of ongoing world economic forum in davis Switzerland.
- Despite its several efforts India seems to failing at least in this category is the ranking is dropped 36 points compared to 2016.
- List is topped by Switzerland followed by France, Denmark, Malta, Sweden.
- India need more innovative minds and new technologies to tackle the problem to air pollution, I know it will not get correct in one or two months but strong initiative are needed in this field.
