The blockchain is used to store the credibility of an individual (also called Social Trust Credit Score) based on criteria accepted by people in the community. The terms and conditions for lending are decided via smart contracts and all the business transactions are also stored on the blockchain. The blockchain is really suitable in this use-case since it brings a transparent and open audit system from which both the debtor and the creditor could benefit from.
