Companies adopting the HSM model to prevent lost of stolen data

This technology has been around, but now it is slowly being accepted and adopted by large companies who are looking to prevent another Equifax breach. Its called Hardware Security Module, SHM for short. This algorithm keeps an attacker linked to the honey pot and prevents them from fleeing, the algorithm releases information and files in encrypted format one at a time, so an attacker has to be linked to the query until the information is fully released.
I don't know about you, but I know its all about protecting the honey pot but this sounds like the legit people who are query'ing and pulling from the DB for legit reasons might have to wait a bit longer for their information. Sometimes I feel the same security and hinder the people who need to work inside the DB:
