PowerUp ๐Ÿ’ช December - Progress and maturity, here we go...

(this is the #10 giveaway), but before that let's check...

Progress direction and impact...

I can't believe these have been progressing so wildly smoothly. Almost 90k requests within the atexoras.com domain. Mostly towards the Hive Engine ports (you can find links to the RPC node down below).

Here is the stats for the country-based requests... ๐Ÿ˜‰ I might know why!

And traffic wise, its just peanuts for my current capacity... keep it coming web3!

And finally, probably the most important graph (to me)... users coming to my RPC Hive Engine and 3Speak cloudflare-protected links.

12 minimum unique per day is something that I did not expect from New Zealand. That's potentially 12 people I can't disappoint per day... ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Anyhow, this might be something very small, but if you consider the fact that all of it is supported by my own house (no help) and dedicated towards decentralization in the long term. Feels nice!

There is of course some benefit for me... running my own local nodes, allows me to have near-instantaneous communication towards anything within the #HIVE blockchain. And all alone, just for that, this is 100% worth it...

Retrospective review... ๐Ÿค”

How many times have you felt you are pioneering in a certain area or technology and because of several co-owned factors, you can't have the performance or capacity of the owning entity?

Imagine you work in Facebook or Google... can you have near-millisecond access to your email? NO... can you have millisecond access to your Facebook page? NO!... can you have millisecond access to Twitter? NO...

Basically, you depend on 3rd providers to show you what you don't have "technically" own... and on top of that, you still need to fight the internet in order to get a good service.

With a blockchain within your home, you not ONLY have access to independently act without depending on that 3rd party, but you also have the performance that 3rd party was not able to provide you. Think about it!

Current IT Technology Capacity

IT hardware is constantly evolving and lately, performance improvements have been taking a precedent leap on performance. Mostly due to gaming and multithreading code efficiency, but also because hiding latencies in the world of IPCs (Instructions Per Clock) have been hugely making leap progress on ASICs.

Caches and memory capacities increased (due to lower fabrication and more tolerant processes) so much that core count (in comparison with the past) has not been as scalable or efficient as IPCs/W thing...

In a nutshell, computational logic (software) has become less important again, and hardware pumped performance again due to its in-depth flexibility.

Real-life example... just for fun!

I deal with supercomputers as many might know right? And that might sound like always be that someone that would be constantly using the edge of technology, but that's not really true. I might know most of what's out there, but when it comes to usage, it's quite controversial.

For example (but not entirely 100% HPC related), I am currently migrating from an 8th gen Intel 32GB laptop (which was quite expensive 4 years ago) to probably a 64GB 12th-gen Intel one... and meanwhile this has lots of other things improving, but in the HPC world (High Performance Computing) that means probably very little, although I see some fun similar facts, where one that has a 3-year lifecycle cluster, might just wait depending on technology as well, even at the cost of spending lots more on power for very long years...

Scalability is just harder to move fast... and with that, I leave you with my own teasing thoughts...

Will decentralization solve scalability evolution where capability can evolve technology wise without depending on scale?

GIVEAWAY PART STARTS HERE!!!

The PowerUp Shard ๐ŸŽจ #NFT

If you haven't yet got one of these NFTs for yourself, grab one here. On this previous giveaway, I have given away some and announced (now for sale) that they will provide you with 2x delegation in case you win the draw.

(NFT disclaimer: note that there is no code automation running behind these NFT "powers", and the associated promise is something to be honoured by me and verified by the community - this is NOT to be considered an investment, but instead gamification of giveaways)

๐Ÿค” What is the HPUD?

The Hive Power Up Day (HPUD) is the 1st day of the month where Hive users are incentivized to power up HIVE.

The #HPUD badges initiative was created by the @hivebuzz team.

They will award you a super cool special badge (example below), that you can check out at https://hivebuzz.me on the POWER UP tab when you power up at least 10 HIVE on the first day of the month (UTC timezone).

Depending on how much you power up, the badge awarded will be different, the bigger the power-up, the bigger the bee will be! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Also, check out the other badges and fun activities they provide and win new badges. There's a big collection already! And don't forget to check the countdown and power up at the right time.

๐Ÿ™„ Prize Eligibility

All you need is to be sure you do ALL the following:

  • ๐Ÿ˜ PowerUp at least 10 HIVE Power (HP), on the 1st day of December (UTC Timezone) of 2022 - Check https://hivebuzz.me (POWER UP tab)
  • ๐Ÿ˜ You can't be powering down!
  • ๐Ÿšจ Write a comment below with the ๐Ÿ‘‰ATX๐Ÿ‘ˆ word in it before this post curation ends! - it's very simple, and if you DON'T want to be eligible, just don't use this word! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

๐Ÿค‘ Rewards

๐Ÿฅ‡ - 1k HIVE Delegation for 1-MONTH for 3 random users
๐Ÿฅˆ - Win 1 ATX token! ๐Ÿ”ˆ๐Ÿ”‰๐Ÿ”Š
๐Ÿฅ‰ - 2X the above if... you hold this NFT by the time this gets drawn!

Besides the above I usually distribute some #FREE stuff around too using "funny bot moments", but the awesome prize in my view is the #HIVE delegation! To be randomly drawn using @sentipl hive random comment picker tool after this post curation ends.

Questionsโ“ and othersโ—

Drop them below and I will try to reply as soon as I can. Otherwise, start preparing yourself for the big day!

The draw and prize distributions will be done after the end of this post curation.

(the free tokens that are distributed via respective bots, can be prone to delays if they happen to exist at the moment of the commands being issued; the ATX will only be distributed if you meet the above eligibility criteria; the exact time/date for the draw after the curation period is kept secret and can happen at any time between two HPUD giveaways)
