I got some Maris Piper from Wilkos, 16 seeds & 10x30ltr buckets, when is the best time to plant out your main crop into buckets outside if you don't have a greenhouse to avoid the frost when they come up (Manchester)? also is it necessary to earth up or can you just put the seeds in & fill them up to the top to save on time as you did here? I got me some spuds galore fertiliser, blood, fish & bone & mycorrhizal fungi, so they will be well nourished for a good yield hopefully.
