How To - The best salad in the World!

According to my sweet lil 5 yo son, this is the best salad in the world!

I´ll show here, what I put in it, the steps, seasoning..etc..

First, let me say that the photos may contain the brands of the items I used, this is NOT by any means an attempt to publicize anything!

Now, for the ingredients:

Carrots!
Every kid loves them!

Next, Cucumber!
Do not forget to take SOME of the peel off, not all! The shell helps the digestion!

After, Tomato and purple Onion!
I usually have the "Dutch Tomato" that comes in stems, and is quite sweet and excellent for salads!

And the purple onion, just because its a bit smaller than most, I can use one in each salad (no excesses), and its sweeter.

By now, it´s looking like this!

Next it´s the lettuce itself!

I usually have the normal Green leaf Lettuce, but whenever I can, I get some different ones, just to mix up the textures! (and when it´s ripe, I get some from our own production!)

And so, now it looks like this:

So, the finishing touches!
Mushrooms, Sweet Corn and Mungo bean Sprouts!

Mix it all up, and voilá!

Right before I serve it, in each bowl, I season it with:

Himmalayan Pink Salt, a good Olive Oil, some Balsamic Vinegar and I personally enjoy some Oregano on top too.
Why these?
The Himmalayan Salt gives a different kind of saltiness to food, and I love it in the salads.
I´ve tried many many many kinds of vinegar on my salads, and by far, the balsamic ( Modena ) Vinegar gives the best flavour to your salad!

Annnd, that is it!
This will accompany a great grilled pork chop, some beer and Basmati Rice! :D

Enjoy!
