I had high hopes! For someone who enjoys any egg sandwiches for breakfast, I had the chance to try Egg Salad Toast by Janji Jiwa. It is one of their recent menu and often is paired with either milk coffee or their americano selection and for non-coffee lovers, teas and fizzy drinks are available to pair them with. The picture showed that it would include a garnish of chopped chives but when it came, it was a little too plain. Meanwhile, the picture that I am featuring here is a modified version of it. The egg was fluffy enough and the sauce definitely was balanced. It wasn’t overpowering but what I really appreciated was the bread that wasn’t a letdown. It wasn’t soggy and buttery. It definitely goes well with the cold iced coffee and it was such a cool and refreshing contrast to the sandwich. I know, in bigger cities and metro areas, this would be the lowest low but considering how small this place is, they are the top tier in the area with the bread that isn’t soggy with butter. You can easily make this sandwich at home too. It’s not that hard as long as you have boiled egg, mayo and mustard for the sauce and a good bread.
