BOO
Hah. We did some of our Halloween preparations today, but I'll get back to that in a minute. First, the daily farm report.
So, it was windy. And cold (3°C). And started snowing.
Not exactly pleasant weather for working outdoors. The sheep got fed quickly, and they (and their donkey!) were quite glad to make use of the shelter we have for them! I apologize for the blurry image; I was trying to stand in the shelter of the water truck, zoomed way in, but in the wind it was nigh impossible to hold still enough!
So we ended up doing a lot of indoor tasks today. Sorting and cooking more of the ripe tomatoes... this is all we have left to wait on!
Cooking the most healthy amazing supper that was ever cooked.
Yep. Kraft Dinner and 2 pounds of bacon. #momfail
The kids had a bright idea for making it healthy though. I mean, one pineapple ring can completely counteract an entire week's worth of sodium and saturated fat, right? At least they look cute as I send them to their slow horrible death-by-bacon.
Then, onto the main attraction: pumpkin carving!
The final product!
That's all for today! Tune in again tomorrow for more bacony goodnesshomestead excitement!!
