This is the second video in my Animals on the Homestead Series.

ANIMALS ON THE HOMESTEAD VIDEO 2 – GUINEA FOWL

A FEW THINGS TO CONSIDER

  • Guinea Fowl help to control and eliminate certain pests, like ticks.

  • Guinea Fowl can reproduce well on their own.

  • Guinea Fowl can make quite a bit of noise.

  • Guinea Fowl are not as good at caring for their young as they are at hatching them.

  • Guinea Fowl may run, or fly, away.

  • Guinea Fowl may be considered to be ugly.

  • Guinea Fowl are edible and so are their eggs.

  • Guinea Fowl keets (babies) can be sold as a possible source of income (as can the adults).
