FRAMING UP THE STORAGE SHED (HOMESTEAD UPDATE)

TODAY THE SKIES WERE BRIGHTER...

And I couldn't resist sneaking down to the homestead to get back to work on the storage shed.

Those are handsawn Oak boards that will be the back bone for the floor. It's tough cutting the boards, but the trees are mine(and hence free) so it is worth it. They care about 2 inches(60 mm) thick and about 12 inches(.3m) tall. They are amazingly heavy and also they are very tough. I found this out when i started drilling screws into them.😆

I was only able to work on the project for a few hours today, but I feel like I made pretty good progress. I'm hoping to think of ways to make the milling process go quicker, as it is slow to do.

IN OTHER ILLINOIS NEWS

I think the local town folks are thinking it's best to not be in the town's anymore, as I have seen several places set up like this....

KIMG2711.JPG

Just a couple trucks with big campers pulled into a field. I've seen 6 different places where people are "camping" in weird places. I really think they are just doing whatever it takes to get out of town. I plan on talking to these guys if I see them, so I'll let you all know what they say.

As always my friends, thanks for coming along, and thank you all so much for your love and continued support. We will make it through this, one way or another.
