Today I am going to show one of my favorite arduino programming projects. It is called the "Mood Lamp". This arduino project came in a kit made for teaching arduino programming to kids and adults. The mood lamp is a Chinese paper lantern that turns on when it is dark. It does this by having a sensor that senses if it is light or dark in the room. The lantern also has different colored lights that change every 4 seconds. It does this because the arduino code programs the lights to turn off and on in different patterns.
