As they ride through the blizzard they reach a homestead. Dutch instructs the group to approach cautiously suspecting that the house may not be as safe as it appears. The group soon realizes they’re not alone—the house is occupied by members of the O'Driscoll gang, a rival group that has a bitter history with the Van der Lindes. A tense confrontation quickly escalates into a firefight as bullets fly in the swirling snow.

The skirmish is intense but brief, with the Van der Linde gang emerging victorious. After eliminating the threat, they move into the house, securing what they can. Inside, they discover critical supplies food ammunitio and blankets everything they need to survive the coming days in the wilderness. As they search the homestead, they find a terrified woman hiding after her husband was murdered by the O'Driscolls. The gang offers her protection and takes her under their wing, recognizing her as a victim of their enemies.

Before they leave, Arthur checks the barn. Inside, he’s ambushed by a hidden O'Driscoll. A brutal fight breaks out, with Arthur eventually overpowering the assailant. The gang interrogates the O'Driscoll for information, learning valuable details about the rival gang’s camp and activities. After extracting the information, Dutch gives the group the choice of the man's fate—whether to spare him or finish the job.

With the homestead secured, the supplies gathered and a new ally in Sadie, the Van der Linde gang makes their way back to camp. The snowstorm rages on, and though they’ve survived this encounter, the hardships of their outlaw life are only just beginning.
