The Kingdom Without Limit

The most predictable part of HiveBeeCon will take place at @krolestwo (Królestwo Bez Kresu / The Kingdom Without Limit). It's hard to define the venue, but the most common definition is a non-profit meeting place. It is run by @fundacja (a Polish NGO) and is located in the very centre of Krakow, at 18 Biskupia Street, 10 minutes from the Main Square.

The Kingdom

Idea

The Kingdom was established as a place for people to come together, engage in long conversations, and share their passions with one another. What sets it apart is its captivating interior, filled with antiques and artifacts from around the world. However, it's not the place itself that is the most important, but rather the community.

Often referred to as the last friendly home (a nod to J.R.R. Tolkien), The Kingdom is dedicated to helping those in need. Whether it's providing shelter to a Greek traveler denied accommodation during a pandemic or welcoming war refugees from Ukraine, the community actively engages in assisting anyone who requires support.

Since June 2022, the venue has been hosting conversational Polish-Ukrainian lessons where Poles and Ukrainians come together to converse and learn from one another. This initiative provides a unique opportunity to get to know each other's customs, perspectives, individual and collective histories. Remarkably, this endeavor is entirely grassroots and volunteer-driven, relying solely on donations, without seeking any external funding.

One of the core principles of The Kingdom is its commitment to avoiding external funding or grants. The place sustains itself solely through donations, ensuring its independence and the ability to carry out its mission regardless of political circumstances.

Blockchain

The Kingdom, founded in 2015 in Rzeszów, initially had no connection to new technologies. However, in 2018, the Fundition platform helped raise funds for firewood, ensuring its survival during the winter of 2018/2019. Spring brought a significant change when the venue's building was sold, necessitating a move to Krakow. One of the major changes introduced after the relocation was the implementation of RCR and RCRT tokens as rewards for supporters. RCRs are centralized tokens obtained through donations or strategic volunteering. They serve both as a means to acquire various items and determine voting power. This allows everyone to feel like a kind of shareholder in the place. In addition to RCRs, there are RCRTs, created with the Hive Engine. They are distributed for project involvement and contest rewards. These tokens incentivize engagement and promotion of the venue.

The Kingdom is the only place in Poland (and one of the few in Europe) that accepts HBD. Moreover, Hive serves as a great crowdfunding tool, with multiple accounts working for The Kingdom's benefit. All prizes are deposited in savings on the @fundacja account, forming the Development Fund. HBD tokens are allocated for current needs and strategic purchases, such as a digital piano in June 2023. The Kingdom also extends support beyond its walls through the Benevolent Fund based on @hive.aid, aiding war-affected regions like Kharkiv.

The Kingdom's growth is intertwined with the Polish Hive community. It seeks to expand this community and allows users to create accounts with RC delegation. Hive has become an integral part of The Kingdom, even integrated into its constitution as a voting tool, ensuring transparency and accountability.

In addition to crowdfunding, posting on Hive serves as a valuable database, aiding analysis and demonstrating growth to donors. It has motivated Kingdom improvement projects like @ksiazki (book inventory), @muzeum (cataloging interesting items), and @krolestwo.prawo (laws collection), all utilizing blockchain for transparency and accuracy.

Venue

The Kingdom is focused on community building. Tokenisation helps a lot with this. For many people, however, the place can look like a very strange café. The venue is open every day (except Sunday) from 4 to 11 p.m. You can get tea, coffee and various other drinks. Everything, of course, is available for RCR, RCRT and HBD. Guests and citizens can make use of two large rooms filled with tons of books, old photos, board games and various artefacts. In one of the rooms stands a strange table. It is a Latvian game that resembles billiards - Novuss. There are also VR headsets, a video projector and musical instruments. Ways to spend leisure time in the Kingdom are quite numerous. Of course, the main one is the extremely interesting conversations with very special people.

The venue will host HiveBeeCon. However, remember that everyone is welcome not only during the event, but also before and after it. The doors to the building are sometimes locked, in which case please knock on the window. You can also announce yourself by writing a comment under the latest report on the @krolestwo account.
