Vamos hablar del MANIAC MANSION 🕹️🖥️

Hoy les voy a contar sobre una niña que tenía 7 años de vida y que tenia una pequeña computadora en su casa… Corría el año 1998 y las computadoras estaban siendo auge en la época, no me voy a poner de hablar de los componentes que se utilizaban en ese entonces, ni menos hablemos de las disqueteras 😯 y los diskettes 😮 jajaj. Hablemos de lo que nos interesa en este post. LOS JUEGOS!!!!!

Comencé a fascinarme por los juegos de Aventuras Gráficas gracias al Maniac Mansion, mi primer acercamiento a este tipo de juegos, un juego que tiene cada uno de sus pixeles bien colocados ajaja. 🟪🟩🟨🟥

Sus creadores son Ron Gilbert 💕 y Gary Winnick 💕 ellos trabajaban para LucasFilm Games (yo lo conozco como LucasArts, esto fue entre 1990 y 2021) Es una empresa que crea videojuegos, la mayoría que yo conozco son juegos de aventuras gráficas y los amo!! Ahora si se fijan trabajan con Disney, vean las series de Star Wars y verán su logo puesto ahí. Seguramente van a ver que los próximos posteos vamos a nombrar mucho a LucasArts.

Ahora siiiiiiiiiiiiiiii aguacaterxxxxssssssss🥑🥑, hablemos del juego en sí. (Tengo el juego descargado en la pc para jugarlo cuantas veces quiera, porque sí, a las nostálgicas nos gusta revivir momentos, jaja)

Esta versión jugaba yo, porque hay una más viejita 1987 ☺️ y otras más nuevas.

Había que elegir tres personajes porque durante la historia podías ir mechando entre uno y otro. Con un cursor hecho de flechas, un menú de acciones y diversos enigmas y acertijos el juego se ponía interesante.

Esta aventura gráfica transcurre en una mansión. En ella vive la familia Edison. Sus habitantes son el Doctor Fred, la enfermera Edna y el hijo Ed Weird.

También viven dos grandes tentáculos, uno violeta y uno verde, los cuales fueron creados a través de un experimento genético (¿o solo llegarón a través del meteorito? tendrán que averiguarlo muajaja)

El tentáculo violeta tenía su propia habitación y él solo quería tener su banda de Rock And Roll 🎸

Este estaba todo el tiempo defendiendo el laboratorio ya que era un atorrante y hacía cosas malignas. 😠

📖📖 La historia comienza cuando un meteorito cae cerca de la mansión hace 20 años atrás, esto hace que pasen cosas sorprendentes en la misma con los objetos y con las personas que viven en la casa. Sandy Pants 💃 la novia de David Miller (el personaje principal) desaparece de la vida de David, él piensa que fue secuestrada por el 👨‍🔬 doctor Fred así que empeña su búsqueda en la mansión, con dos amigos más los cuales cada uno tienen habilidades especificas.

Lo interesante del juego es que no podemos ser vistos por los habitantes de la casa porque si no nos llevan para el calabozo o morimos! Según los personajes que elijamos el juego se va a ir desarrollando de distintas maneras y con diferentes finales, lo cual nos permite jugarlo más de una vez 👏🙌.

🎬 Esta aventura es una parodia de las películas de terror de la serie B de la época ya que tiene elementos de este tipo, el laboratorio, el cientifico loco, etc. También hacen chistes con respecto a los objetos y los personajes. La verdad que es muy interesante que ustedes puedan descubrir las cosas que hay dentro de él.

Por último un secretito es que el juego completo esta contenido en su secuela El día del tentaculo “Day of the Tentacle” en la computadora del dormitorio del Extraño Ed!!

Let's talk about MANIAC MANSION 🕹️🖥️

Today I'm going to tell you about a girl who was 7 years old and had a small computer at home... It was the year 1998, and computers were booming at the time. I'm not going to talk about the components that were used back then, and certainly not about floppy disk drives 😯 and floppy disks 😮 haha. Let's talk about what interests us in this post. THE GAMES!!!!!

I became fascinated by Graphic Adventure games thanks to Maniac Mansion, my first encounter with this type of game, a game with each of its pixels well placed. 🟪🟩🟨🟥

Its creators are Ron Gilbert 💕 and Gary Winnick 💕; they worked for LucasFilm Games (I know it as LucasArts, which operated between 1990 and 2021). It's a company that creates video games, most of which I know are graphic adventure games, and I love them!! Now, if you notice, they work with Disney; check out the Star Wars series, and you will see their logo there. You will surely see in upcoming posts that we will mention LucasArts a lot.

Now, yes, aguacaterxxxxssssssss🥑🥑, let’s talk about the game itself. (I have the game downloaded on my PC to play it as many times as I want because, yes, nostalgic ones like us love to relive moments, haha)

This is the version I played, because there’s an older one from 1987 ☺️ and some newer ones.

You had to choose three characters because during the story you could switch between them. With a cursor made of arrows, a menu of actions, and various puzzles and riddles, the game became interesting.

This graphic adventure takes place in a mansion. Living there is the Edison family. Its inhabitants are Dr. Fred, Nurse Edna, and their son Ed Weird.

Two great tentacles also live there, one purple and one green, which were created through a genetic experiment (or did they arrive through a meteorite? You’ll have to find out muahahaha).

The purple tentacle had its own room and just wanted to have its own Rock And Roll band 🎸.

He was always defending the laboratory because he was a troublemaker and did evil things. 😠

📖📖 The story begins when a meteorite falls near the mansion 20 years ago, causing surprising things to happen within the mansion with the objects and the people living there. Sandy Pants 💃, the girlfriend of David Miller (the main character), disappears from David's life; he thinks she was kidnapped by 👨‍🔬 Dr. Fred, so he embarks on a search in the mansion, along with two friends, each of whom has specific skills.

The interesting part of the game is that we cannot be seen by the inhabitants of the house, or else we will be taken to the dungeon or die! Depending on the characters we choose, the game will develop in different ways and have different endings, which allows us to play it more than once 👏🙌.

🎬 This adventure is a parody of B-movie horror films from that era, as it includes elements of that kind: the laboratory, the mad scientist, etc. They also make jokes regarding the objects and the characters. It’s really interesting for you to discover the things that are in it.

Lastly, a little secret is that the complete game is contained in its sequel, Day of the Tentacle, on the computer in the bedroom of Ed the Strange!!
