While Russia was a bit sloppy at the beginning of the Ukraine campaign, now they are moving deeper into Ukraine with specific goals. After capturing the key Ukrainian city of Avdiivka, Medvedev, a Putin aide and key figure in the Russian government, said they were moving forward with the goal of capturing Kiev.

In the context of Ukraine's continuous withdrawal from the war, a meeting of 26 European countries was held in Paris on February 26. There was a discussion about sending troops against Russia to prevent the defeat of Ukraine. French President Emmanuel Macron proposed sending these troops, but other countries rejected it. However, in response to reporters' questions, Makhon said that he did not completely rule out the possibility of sending troops. He said, "Russia cannot be allowed to win the war in Ukraine in any way." In view of such statements at the meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on February 29 that if NATO or any European country tries to send troops to Ukraine to fight against Russia, they will have to suffer extreme consequences. In a speech to the nation before the Russian presidential election in March, he also said, "Nuclear weapons near Moscow are capable of hitting Western countries at any time." After his speech, the world shook.

Western countries have been arming Ukraine in this war, but denying their direct involvement. Russia's long-standing allegations have been proven true after a 38-minute audio recording of German military officers was leaked. Western powers are in trouble. Because British troops directly helped Ukraine in the attack on the Kerch bridge, which is the Russian-occupied Crimea. According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Western European countries are trying to defeat Russia by joining forces.
