Terracore: Devlog #3 - Progress Report & $SCRAP

Hey Everyone!

Truly hope everyone had a good holiday and happy new year. I took a break for about 2 weeks to spend some time with friends and family and am now back to work on Terracore and have some exciting updates to share with you.

Player Scene
Above is a screenshot of the current player screen, as you can see there is a lot of data and I will get into how everything works in the litepaper/wiki in the near future. But basically this uses our API to query the users data by taking the Hive username you sign in with. This API will also eventually be public for users that want to make 3rd party tools to view player data.

$SCRAP TOKEN

$SCRAP is now setup on Hive Engine, there will be no presale, no vc's, no allocation of this token. The revenue model for Terracore will be driven by a one time account creation free in $HIVE that we will then powerup, curate content, and use the revenue earned in the ecosystem to keep the server costs paid for. $SCRAP will be able to be mined in Terracore and is designed to be staked and have utility throughout the game for different power ups and purchases.

Map Scene

The map scene is starting to be built and shows the stats in Realtime about circulating and staked scrap. How many players are currently registered and how many new planets have been discovered.

As you may see there is a contribute section on the map this is where the entire community will have to collectively contribute $SCRAP to unlock a new planet, each new planet will have new surprises and will get harder and harder to unlock. When you contribute towards the goal you will earn FAVOR an ingame stat that allows you to access planets, there will be a minimum amount of FAVOR to access planets.

Well that's all I have for today, there will be some new stuff soon as I will need to open up a discord to chat with you all and start the social media, I will also most likely move to some sort of video format to share more info easier and leave more time for development!
