Hello Hive community! I am not much of a writer but seeing the interest in my last post I thought I would post some updates on the progress on Vigilante.tv and other projects I am working on at The Dollar Vigilante.

First up I got A LOT of feedback form the Hive community both here and on Discord. In case you didn't know there is a Discord you should hang out in for good advice and any questions you might have regarding Hive. You can get to it HERE and HERE.

The most important thing for us to change right away is to make sure that videos we post are not posted twice on the Hive chain with payouts enabled for both posts making it look like we are trying to double dip. Last week we disabled ALL payouts until we were able to add the ability to enable/disable payouts for individual accounts on Vigilante.tv.

This has now been done and we have enabled payouts for accounts meeting the following criteria:

  • They must link back to their channel on Vigilante.tv to show they support it.
  • They must not be posting the videos on their own Hive account (if they have one)

Creators that do not have a Hive account have been invited to create one.

Nobody is perfect and there was a glitch when we switched it on so 2 posts that should have had payouts disabled had them enabled. Unfortunately they can not be deleted (it seems once there is a vote on it you can’t, lesson learned!) so I removed the content in the post and put an explanation along with a link to the content creators Hive blog.

We have more features in the pipeline for the site such as the ability to follow creators directly on the site, more commenting capabilities such as sorting, live streaming and much more. Will share more about the plans for those later on.

Next month on September 23rd we are doing a live event focused on crypto hardware for beginners. If you are interested you can go to tcvsummit.com for more information. I am personally looking forward to this one as I am not so knowledgeable about crypto hardware.

Thanks again to the Hive community for being patient with us developing Vigilante.tv. I was very pleasantly surprised by the willingness to have a discussion and give us a chance to set this right. I am sure it will continue to grow and bring in a lot more active Hive users than it already has.

Best Regards,
Michael Bach
